After returning from Le Mans Classic 2008 (which was great fun by the way), I felt the urge to start a new project. The last project http://myrsr.blogspot.com/ involved turning a rusty mid '80s 3.2 911 into an orange, noisy 1973 Porsche RSR hotrod. I never wanted it to look perfect, I just wanted it to look and sound the business - which it does. I love it to bits and I wish I could keep it, but I need to get a car that's more suitable for a family. I need a kiddy seat in the back, air conditioning, ABS brakes, and an exhaust note that's less likely to have the local enforcement officers flagging me down!
SO.. The RSR is going to be sold, and I'm going to buy a solid circa 1992 Porsche 911 C2 and over the course of a year or two, turn it into something that looks more like a pre-impact bumper S/T. This will have many difficulties as the cars are quite different - bonnet, wheels, sills, impact bumpers, exhaust will all have to change, with some awkward fabrication on the horizon. Hooray, another project!!
